November 6, 2012 General Municipal Election Information
Three seats on the Paradise Town Council were decided at the November 6, 2012 General Municipal Election. The successful candidates will serve four-year terms of office beginning on the first Council Meeting in December 2012 through the first Council Meeting in December, 2016. The upcoming vacancies will occur as a result of the expiration of terms of office for the positions currently held by Steve “Woody” Culleton, Joe DiDuca and Alan White.
General Qualifications: Persons must be a United States citizen at least 18 years of age and be a registered voter of the Town of Paradise. No filing fees are required, but if candidates want a statement of qualifications printed in the sample ballot a $450 deposit is required. This is an estimated amount that could change.
Nomination Period: Opened Monday, July 16, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. Two incumbents did not file for re-election and the nomination period was extended through Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
