2010-2015 CDBG Consolidated Plan - Public Input Needed

2010-2015 Consolidated Plan and 2010-2011 Annual Plan Update:

DRAFT Consolidated Plan and Draft Annual Plan now available.

The Town of Paradise receives a Community Development Block Grant under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Town’s Consolidated Plan must be revised every 5 years; the Annual Action Plan is changed each year to reflect new budget appropriations and project allocations.

In accordance with the Housing and Community Development Act (HCDA) of 1987, as amended, the primary objective of the Town of Paradise CDBG Program is the development of a viable urban community, including decent housing, a suitable living environment, and the expansion of economic opportunities, principally for persons of low/moderate income.  To accomplish this objective, activities which 1) benefit low/moderate income persons, 2) aid in the elimination/prevention of slums or blight, 3) meet other urgent community development needs having particular urgency for which no other funds are available, will be given priority.

Public participation is requested.  Please attend one of the public hearings or submit written comments to Lauren Gill, Business & Housing Services, 5555 Skyway, Paradise, CA 95969 or email: lgill@townofparadise.com.

Fire Prevention & Investigation Print

Fire Prevention Bureau

Welcome to the Fire Prevention Bureau.  Fire Prevention has been built upon the philosophy of three main objectives, Education, Engineering and Enforcement.  Fire Prevention is a vital function in the community and our continued economic development.  The Bureau provides these functions within four sections: Fire protection and planning, fire and life safety inspections, community education and fire investigations.  Without these sections the fire prevention efforts fall short of community expectations and the protection that our citizens deserve.

We are proud to serve you and encourage you to use the services of the Fire Prevention Bureau.  The Bureau currently has one Fire Marshal, three inspectors and utilizes firefighters to assist in education delivery and inspections throughout the community.  It is our mission to educate each citizen on ways to better protect themselves and their neighbors from the devastating effects of fire before one even occurs.  This education means the difference in your life safety.

This website is designed to provide resources, tools, and information relative to laws, rules, regulations and standards that we use to protect our community.  You should find it helpful in a variety of ways.  Again, we look forward to serving for and with you in keeping our community a safe place to live, work and recreate.
