Code Enforcement
The Paradise Town Council has adopted municipal codes specifically designed to address blight, nuisances, and to maintain a clean environment for all citizens in our community. The Town of Paradise does this by working in partnership with the people of Paradise.
The mission of the Code Enforcement Division is to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and working environment. We help maintain and improve the quality of our community by administering a fair and unbiased enforcement program to correct violations of municipal codes and land use requirements. We also work with residents, neighborhood associations, public service agencies and other Town departments to:
- Facilitate voluntary compliance with Town codes.
- Empower community self-help programs.
- Develop public outreach programs.
- Establish community priorities for enforcement programs.
Be Proactive
If you have potential code violations on your property, you don't need to wait for a warning or citation to clean it up! Or if you have already received a warning or citation, there are resources to help you bring your property up to code.
CalRecycle and the Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility offer free programs that will accept many items such as mattresses, electronic waste, paint and even construction debris.
Northern Recycling and Waste Services offers e-waste programs and can arrange for special pickup of some items.
Town of Paradise Rehabilitation Program - The Town of Paradise offers homeowners financial assistance with bringing your home up to code. Income and credit eligibility requirements are listed on the Town of Paradise Rehabilitation Program page.
If you have received a citation and have questions about the process, visit the Pay a Citation page.
