Online Roof Mount Solar Permits Now Available with SolarApp+

Solar contractors can now apply for residential roof mount solar permits online. 

WHAT IS SolarAPP+ ?

SolarAPP+ uses a software to automate and streamline the plan review process  Registered contractors cane use SolarAPP+ for faster rooftop solar permits. With  an approval ID from SolarAPP+ contractors can submit their approved plans to the Town of Paradise and instantly receive a permit. Installation practices, workmanship, and adherence to the approved design are verified in the inspection process. 

WHO CAN USE SolarAPP+ ?

Licensed B- General , C-10 Electrical, or C-46 Solar Photovoltaic contractors are eligible to use SolarAPP+. Contractors must register and become certified by SolarApp+ before submitting applicaitons for plan review. 

WHAT PROJECTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SolarApp+?

• Only new rooftop solar photovoltaic on detached one- and two-family dwellings and townhomes and related accessory structures (e.g., a garage or ADU).

How do I start?

1. Submit for automated plan review through SolarAPP+ :

• Start by registering and submitting your design with : SolarApp+ 

• A processing fee will be charged by SolarAPP+

• Download the approved plans

• once registered and approved for your proposed solar,  submit your approved plan online to the Paradise building division via Accela Citizens Access

2.  Schedule an Inspection:

• Inspections can be scheduled online with accela citizens access or by calling 530-413-5114

Please include:

• Permit Number (for example, BP23-00000)

  Jobsite Address

  Type of Inspection Requested 

  Day (Date) you are requesting the inspection to be carried out

  You may request AM or PM

  Leave the Jobsite contact person’s phone number in case the inspector needs it.

  Any special instructions such as lockbox information, etc.
