On 10/06/2024 at approximately 0544 hours, Officer Archuleta conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a
white Nissan truck for a broken tail light. Officer Eidhammer utilized his police K9 "Phoenix" to conduct a
free air sniff around the Nissan. K9 Phoenix alerted to the odor of narcotics within the Nissan. Officers
conducted a search of the truck and located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Within the bed of the truck, officers located many pieces of heavy wall copper pipe, brass valves, and
electronic control equipment which would normally be associated to commercial or medical facilities.
Some of the pipes were labeled for medical use.

Officers recalled being dispatched to Feather River Hospital (FRH) on 10/05/2024 for the report a
suspicious white Nissan truck which had been parked near the generator and mechanical building. The
truck had left the area prior to officer arrival. The person who called in the suspicious truck captured
cellphone video of the truck.

With the help of the observant citizen, Officers were able to positively identify the white Nissan as the
truck which Officer Archuleta stopped for the tail light violation. PPD Officer Eidhammer responded to
FRH and located the area where the pipes, valves, and equipment had been stolen. PPD secured the
stolen property and placed the owner of the Nissan under arrest for Burglary, Possession of burglary
tools, possession of stolen property, as well as possession of methamphetamine. The driver of the Nissan
was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

of the incident.
