Engineering Permits

Encroachment Permits: Encroachment permits are for the purpose of regulating excavations and/or encroachments on, over or under a public right-of-way or public service easement. For most construction projects, detailed construction drawings are submitted along with the application and are checked for compliance with both Town of Paradise construction standards and generally acceptable engineering standards. Examples of work requiring encroachment permits include, but are not limited to: driveway and culvert installations, utility installations, tree removal or other work adjacent to or within a Public Street, which is within the Public Right of Way.
Grading Permits: Grading Permits are available under Forms & Applications. Please download the form, prepare your submittal and submit to the Building Resiliency Center, information below.
Oversized Load Permit: Oversized Load Permits are available under Forms & Applications. Please download the form, prepare your submittal and submit to the Building Resiliency Center, information below.
Surveying Applications: Lot Line Adjustment, Parcel Merger, Certificate of Correction, Certificate of Compliance applications are available under Forms & Applications. Please download the form, prepare your submittal and submit to the Building Resiliency Center, information below.
All applications and supporting documentation are submitted to the Building Resiliency Center (BRC) at 6295 Skyway, Paradise, California, 95969.
Exception: Utility undergrounding permits for Utility companies have special conditions and permitting fees, and submitted directly to the Public Works & Engineering Department, attention: Kevin Peppas, kpeppas@townofparadise.com, 530-872-6291 x108. Parcel Maps or Tentative Parcel Maps are processed through the Building Resiliency Center and routed to the various departments to review.
