Utility Laydown Yards

Laydown yards for the use undergrounding utilities can be applied for on properties in the Town of Paradise if they meet the requirements of urgency ordinance 627.

With a property owners authorization and the appropriate permit, Utility companies can apply for a temporary laydown yard. 

Properties that are commercially zoned will require a Temporary Use permit. 

This permit generally takes about 10 days to review and issue with a complete application. 

Properties that are residentially zoned will require an Administrative Use permit. 

All neighbors within 300 feet of the property will be noticed of the proposed temporary use. A 10 day appeal period is given prior to issuance of the administrative use permit

If the residential property is accessed via a private road authorization from all property owners with acces or legal interest in the private road will be required.
