The Maddy Act

CURRENT VACANCIES ON BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES

In compliance with the requirements of the Maddy Act, Government Code 54972, the following Town of Paradise local appointments list shows all current members of the Town’s Commissions with the term of expiration date, and the current membership requirements.

Boards, commissions, and committees are established to make recommendations to the Town Council on matters within the Town’s jurisdiction. Members are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Town Council. Serving on a board, commission, or committee is an opportunity for you to participate in local government and serve your community. Bodies meet with different frequencies. Individuals may serve on only one board, commission, or committee at any given time. Members will be asked to complete a Form 700 and Ethics Training as identified in the Town’s Conflict of Interest Code. Applicants are interviewed by the appropriate Town Council Committee; recommendations are then made to the entire Town Council for appointment.
